Experience captivating legends from all over the world in a magical interlude of storytelling. As traveling dancers spend a night beside a campfire, they entertain each other with breathtaking examples of mythology from their homelands to North, East, South, and West. Focusing on themes of courage, characters such as the Candle Fairy, the Rainbow Crow, and the North Wind will expose students to strong heroic ideas such as standing up to bullies, taking care of one's family, and facing great danger. The performance uses expressive movement and design to stimulate audience imagination and thought, while interactive portions of the performance will be physically engaging. Moving Myths is as much about honoring the importance of our unique cultures as it is about celebrating and sharing them together.

When can I register?
September 2019- December 2019 matinees: August 30, 2019.
January 2020 - May 2020: November 1, 2019.
30 days prior to event (effective 11/1/2019); Limit 6 tickets.
Can I register for multiple events in the series at one time?
No, each matinee requires a seperate registration.
My School group is larger than 100 attendees, but ticket requests are capped at 100. What do I do?
You must complete two registration requests.
Place your initial request for 100.
Later in the registration process you will be asked for the total number of tickets needed for your group if greater than 100.
Enter the total number of tickets needed in that space.
Once you have completed the registration, you will need to place a second registration for the remaining balance of your ticket needs.
You will need to fill out all the requested information again.
What if I don't know how many will be attending on the day of the event?
Register the number of attendees that are most likely to attend the event. Two weeks prior to the event, we will contact you to confirm your group's final attendance. Do not order in large excess of your best estimate as attendance will be reviewed and a history of lower group attendance than tickets requested for future events may affect your group's ticket allocations.
Can homeschool households and co-ops register as a group or school?
No. (See Ticket types above.)
I'm trying to register, but when I enter my quantity it says the amount requested isn't available. What's up with that?
Each ticket type has been allocated a preset quantity. All tickets requests are pulled from the total tickets available. Regardless of the type of tickets being requested, when the total amount distributed reaches capacity, tickets will no longer be distributed.
Can I register other than online?
No. All orders must be made through Eventbrite.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes, you may update your registration information online up to the sales end date, or thereafter by contacting the Carver Box Office: 210-207-7211, email@example.com.
Tickets and Seating
I did not receive tickets.
We do not issue printed tickets. You will be required to check-in upon arrival. You will need to confirm the number of people in your group at check-in.
Is there reserved seating?
Yes and no. All tickets are General Admission, so you are technically being given access to one seat in the theatre with no guarantee where it will be located. Seating is typically on a first-come, first seated basis; however, we reserve the right to designate assigned seats or sections based upon the registrations received for each matinee. The Carver will determine available seating locations for all matinees.
We ordered tickets individually, but we want to sit together. Can we do that?
We do not guarantee that space will be able for you to sit in a group. If you are meeting others at the venue and wish to sit together, arrive early and request to be seated only after all guests in your party are present. If you request to be seated before your entire party is present, you are not permited to save seats.
How do we change our ticket quantity?
Additional tickets. If you require more tickets and they are still available, place an additional order online. If the performance is soldout we are not able to fulfill your request.
Fewer tickets. If you need fewer tickets and it involves 10 or more tickets, call the Box Office for assistance, 210-207-2234.
Group Reservations. All registered attendees will be contacted two weeks prior to the scheduled matinee. You must confirm your registration within three business days of being contacted or your reservation will be cancelled and your tickets will be released.
All others. You will receive an RSVP by email to confirm your attendance.
No-shows, No call-ins (Schools, Groups, Centers)
The absence of a large group tremendously impacts our performances, as well as others who were not able to attend due to ticket unavailability.
In the event you confirmed your attendance but do not attend the event AND did not previously contact the Box Office to cancel, all your existing reservations for the season will be cancelled and you will not be able to place new reservations or reorder. We will also communicate with the Order "Contact" as well as the registered school or organization's administration to discuss the matter.
How do we cancel our reservation?
You can cancel your reservation using your Eventbrite Confirmation Order number, or call the Box Office for assistance, 210-207-2234.
Parking and Unloading
We strongly advise our guests coming from the Downtown area or from I-37 to NOT use Commerce or Houston Streets to get to the venue, due to frequent delays caused by trains. We recommend using Nolan, Iowa or Montana Streets, which offer railway overpasses or underpasses.
Buses. If arriving by bus, buses may unload passengers on Hackberry Street in front of the Carver Center. After unloading, drivers may proceed north on Hackberry to park, or west on Mesquite and Swiss Streets. Do not park in the Brackenridge Learning Center or Taylor Mortuary lots.
Personal Vehicle: Individuals arriving by vehicle may park free at 215 N. Hackberry, in our Center St. lot, located behind the theatre or on any available side streets. The streets are not metered.
Senior Center Vans and Handicapped Parking. Seniors and handicapped individuals should unload on Center Street, just north of the theatre, where an ADA ramp is conveniently located. Using the side entrance also reduces the number of stairs required to enter the facility. After unloading, drivers may park in our Center Street lot, located behind the theatre, which offers designated Handicapped Parking spaces.
